Runicorn Zombie Apocalypse
The last colorful unicorn in a dead city. Close rainbow loops around the horde, dash through danger, and turn each escape into another phrase of the soundtrack.

About the project
Jacob wished unicorns into existence. Esau wished for a zombie apocalypse. The last magical unicorn has to reach Jacob before the final wish dies with him. That story gave me the visual rule for the game: the city and the infected herd are gray; the player brings the color.
Movement is the weapon. Runicorn leaves a rainbow trail, and crossing an older part of it closes a loop that purifies the enemies inside. Dash buys a brief escape through dangerous trails. Between districts, mutations change the build, including the Megacorn helmet’s automatic blaster. The route you draw matters as much as the upgrade you pick.
The constraint was a complete browser game inside the js13kGames size limit. The standalone ZIP is 13,311 bytes. That includes the game, embedded pixel font and procedural audio. Canvas draws the arena and sprites. Web Audio generates the electro-rock soundtrack, with loops, pickups and attacks adding notes on the same musical clock. There are no downloaded music tracks or runtime art requests.
I directed the concept and successive gameplay passes, with AI assisting implementation. The visual direction carries through stepped menu frames, a single cursor and typewriter dialogue. The large cover is AI-generated promotional art; the gallery also shows the actual game.
The browser build here supports keyboard and touch controls. Automated checks cover Chrome, Firefox and emulated phone layouts; physical phone testing is still pending. A separate build has been uploaded to Wavedash with achievements, personal records and leaderboard integration. Public Wavedash release and competition acceptance are still pending.
